How does an Oxygen Concentrator work?
The air that we breathe contains around 21% Oxygen with the remaining majority made up of mostly nitrogen and other gases that the body doesn't need. An Oxygen concentrator takes in this air and separates it through a row of molecular sieves which contains a non-hazardous chemical, leaving a high concentration of Oxygen of around 90%.

What does on-demand or pulse flow mean?
All Portable Oxygen Concentrators
we supply deliver oxygen to the patient using On-Demand flow, also known as Pulse Flow via
the use of a nasal cannula. This is where a patient gets a "shot" of oxygen every time the portable oxygen concentrator detects inhalation. The amount of oxygen inhaled within that "shot" works out to be around the same if you
were inhaling on a continuous flow oxygen concentrator.
Most portable oxygen concentrators that run an "on-demand" oxygen system have settings which are approximately equivalent to the litre per minute selected on the device.
What does continuous flow mean?
Continuous flow oxygen is delivered at a constant rate irrespective of the user’s breathing rate as the name suggests.
